In an interview with Kapuso stars Rhian Ramos and Glaiza de Castro after their shoot at the Bloggers’ Style Camp, the on-screen love team confirmed they are willing to do kissing scenes in the primetime drama series The Rich Man’s Daughter.
Glaiza de Castro who’s playing Althea justified, “Kami naman kasi, hindi kami takot to step out of our comfort zones eh so kung kailangan [na] kailangan talaga, why not, ‘di ba?”
“The more nag-e-expect ‘yung tao, the more gusto naming magbigay. Siyempre sa love nangyayari naman talaga, ‘di ba? People kiss so if it’s part of the project at nandun naman siya sa isang eksena na kailangan siya, eh bakit hindi?” Rhian Ramos (Jade) agreed.
“Personally, I think na everyone sa buong cast, actually sa buong project, we’re really challenged by this [and] na-e-enjoy din namin ang challenge na ‘yun,” she added they can get advises from Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo who played as a gay couple in the hit series My Husband’s Lover.
Furthermore, Rhian who has worked with different Kapuso leading men is happy with her newest love team which seems to be working out.
She said, “Just when akala ko lahat nakatrabaho ko na, may bago pa pala akong makukuhang partner. First time [ko] magka-love team na walang intriga. Napakasaya at napaka-simple ng working relationship namin kasi nga wala din namang maiintriga at all (laughs).”
Glaiza replied, “Well, you’ll never know. Minsan kapag nasabi mo sa sarili mo, ‘Ah… nagawa ko na ‘yan.’ Bigla bibigyan ka ng panibagong challenge na talagang ‘Whoa!’ Sasabihin mo na lang talaga 'Kaya ko ‘to!’”
The Rich Man’s Daughter leading lady explained, “I think what Glaiza [and I] have in common, pareho naming na-e-enjoy to take chances, to really be honest [and] to put ourselves or ‘yung emotions namin [dun sa character].”
She added, “Siguro before nakakatakot ‘yung i-express mo lahat kasi ini-issue pa ‘yung, ‘Uy, na-carried away!’ ‘Yung mga ganun. Pero ngayon, we really want kasi to give our very, very best for the project.”
On the other hand, the singer-actress said, “Siguro nawala na talaga ‘yung walls at saka masarap din kasi katrabaho lahat eh, tipong lahat kami [naka] game face kumbaga ‘Kaya natin ‘to! Tulungan tayo’ so siguro nagma-manifest kung ano kami offscreen sa nakikita nila on-screen.”
