Rhian Denise Ramos Howell started her career in showbiz when she bagged a major TV commercial for McDonald’s. The bubbly teenager was immediately noticed by a film producer who wasted no time introducing her to GMA Network’s Assistant Vice President, Ida Ramos Henares. “I have thoughts of joining show business. But I wanted to enter it after I make something out of my modeling career. I was surprised it happened immediately…the job picked me,” Rhian muses.
Her first major TV project was a show on GMA 7 called Captain Barbell. She was paired with the hottest leading man at the time, Richard Gutierrez. The rest, as they say, is history. Rhian starred in shows, movies, and magazines left and right, quickly emerging as one of the top bankable leading ladies in the last five years. She also won awards from the 21st PMPC Star Awards for Television as the Best New Female TV Personality and at the Golden Screen Awards for Breakthrough Performance for The Promise.
All that aside, Rhian makes it a point to be down to earth. “I’m just like everyone else! I have my own weird insecurities, my own special talents and my own kapalpakans! I can’t ride a bike, I have a birthmark on my left bum and lagi akong nabubulol…I’m a real person. I’m just me, I don’t pretend to be anyone else. I make mistakes and I accept that no one is perfect and kasali na ako doon. I don’t pretend to be anything more or anything less than what I am.”
Indeed, the young lady is the best spokesperson for Nuvo City’s push to become THE location for the most stylish, talented, and successful people in the metro.
