Rhian and her passions

Despite the demands of her brilliant showbiz career, Rhian Ramos still enjoys life outside work where she gets to pursue her other passions.

Whenever Rhian isn’t busy with shooting, pictorials, public appearances and whatnot, she lets wanderlust take control by planning which country to visit next. To date, Rhian has been to USA, Singapore, China, Europe, among so many other places, for work or for play or even for both. "I love going out of the country as much as I can. I collect mugs from every city I visit," says she.

Traveling for the young actress may come across to others as if it’s as simple as going wherever at the snap of a finger and bringing home a memorabilia, but in reality, she throws herself into the whole thing head first: from studying a prospective country to which side trips to take and which sites to see once there, she has all the bases covered. "I use the Internet to research," says Rhian, who has made it a "mission" to visit a new city every year.

Apart from travel, Rhian also has a love affair with fashion. Recall that Rhian was even awarded Miss Vitality at the 3rd Asian Supermodel Contest held in Guangxi, China back in 2008. "I surf the web for fashion influences and clothing styles. I don’t copy what I see on the web though. I just use them for inspiration."

Like other personalities with online celebrity status, Rhian or "whianwamos" has thousands of followers. Tweeting about what she’s up to is second nature to her, but she also admits how much fun it is to follow other people in showbiz, like stylist Liz Uy and photographer Xander Angeles. Their recent PLDT shoot reunited Rhian with good friend George Schulze, who joined last year’s Watchpad Crew Search thanks to her encouragement. (He made it along with Blinky de Leon, Jackie Milner, Yassi Pressman, and Magic DJ Nikko Ramos).

Her busy schedule notwithstanding, Rhian makes time for herself. She is not the type who would allow work to take control of her life. Striking a balance is key to her happiness and contentment. This is the reason the actress spends time at home as often as she can, just to indulge in the art of doing nothing.

For Rhian there’s nothing like being in your own place where you’re comfortable, and pay no attention to how you look or what you’re wearing. She gets caught up in what she loves, whether travel, fashion or movies. Spending hours online is her way of relaxing. "My computer and Internet are always, always on since I download videos."

There’s nothing more awesome than experiencing the Internet at home. "I think nowadays, people have become so reliant on the Internet that they can’t move without it. They have to check everything online before they make any decisions." Well-said for a smart girl who’s the face of PLDT myDSL. Find out more at www.myworldmydsl.com.
